Certified Translation
Global Link provides certified document translations that are accepted by various courts, government agencies, and industry regulatory authorities. Global Link certifications are signed by our company’s managing director and officially certified by a notary public. Global Link will only certify text that has gone through our standard translation workflow process.
Global Link’s translation certification process goes through a multistep process to ensure accuracy and high quality of the translation. The documents are translated by a certified translator, who is a native speaker of the target language. The translation is then edited and proofread by a second, equally qualified translator for grammatical and syntactical accuracy, for appropriateness of style, and for possible omission. The final step is an in-house quality control check, and the project’s manager verifies that all QA steps have been taken and no omissions exist in the translated documents.
Certified Translation Process
- Translation by a certified, native speaker, translator
- Editing and proofreading by a second equally qualified linguist
- Formatting/typesetting by Global Link design team—optional
- Proofreading of typeset documents
- In-house quality control steps by project manager
- Client review—optional
- Final revisions, if any
- All deliverables submitted to client with letter certifying translation signed by Global Link management
If your document requires formatting, Global Link’s design team will lay out the translated document to match the original-source-language document. After the formatting process, your formatted text is proofed and QCed for any discrepancies caused by formatting, such as improper hyphenation, omissions, etc.
